Become an Iowa member of the John Birch Society
The John Birch Society is a national organization headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin. JBS is an advocate of a limited government that results in maximum freedom for Americans. JBS recognizes the corollary between more laws, and less freedom.
To achieve their goal of a free society, JBS uses local chapters of JBS members throughout the 50 States to influence the House of Representatives, and to educate their friends and neighbors. Unlike other national political organizations who are essentially a fundraising office in Washington DC., JBS wants involvement from its members.
The John Birch Society realizes there is no quick fix coming from a Presidential candidate, or some magic bullet from a single piece of legislation. JBS knows that only by sustained urging from an informed electorate, will the House of Representatives, through the power of the purse, reign in an overlarge Federal Government, and return it to the Constitutional Republic it was authorized to be from the people.
