In today’s Des Moines Register (8/7), Froma Harrop goes on for 20 column inches about how Tea Party Republicans are ruining America! [In GOP civil war, only Democrats are winning] Those fiends don’t think the way Froma thinks they should!
She uses much invective, but little logic in making her point. “Radical, nuts, fringe, loose grasp on reality”, and those are just the first two paragraphs! The common theme between Froma and amateur letter to the editor writers from the left, is that they focus more on name calling then they do establishing a logical thought process.
Looking at her assertion though, that constitutional minded Tea Party Republicans are bad for America, the facts don’t seem to be there. Roughly 100 years of big government Democrats, and go-along get-along Republicans, have given us a nation with a $15 trillion debt, 20 million illegals, and the good jobs going overseas. In what fashion pray tell, could constitutionally minded Tea Party Republicans “harm” things?
The bottom line is, Froma thinks the Tea Party is wrong because they have the audacity not to think like she does. That strikes me as the height of arrogance. The status quo that she is so intent on preserving, destroyed this country! I hope the Tea party does upset the apple-cart!
[If less government, less spending, less wars, and lower taxes are wrong, I don't want to be right.]
